DONATE

Monetary donations are the best type of support for the pantry. These can be used to purchase additional food, as well as toiletries and other supplies, at government discount prices through the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. This allows us to target the dollars to the items we need most, as well as to stretch those dollars much further.

Monetary donations can also be used to purchase needed items that aren’t available from GCFB, and get them in sufficient quantities for the number of clients we serve.

To make a monetary donation, please mail a check made out to Heights Emergency Food Center to 3663 Mayfield Road, Cleveland Heights, OH, 44121, or use the paypal button at the top of this page.

Donations of food and toiletries are accepted under limited circumstances. If you are unsure about items you would like to bring to the pantry, please contact us first via phone or email to make sure your donation will be acceptable. The following limitations apply:

  •  Food that is left outside the door cannot be verified to be safe and may likely be thrown out. We only accept donations of goods during our open hours.

  • We only accept non-perishable food. Frozen foods, meats, dairy products, etc. will be thrown out. We accept limited amounts of produce – please check before bringing anything.

  • Any opened containers will be thrown out.

  • We only distribute food that has not yet reached its “best by” or “use by” date.

  • We do not serve meals and cannot use oversized food items such as #10 cans.

  • We have limited space for storing and sorting large food donations. Food drives held for our benefit are greatly appreciated. Please contact us first to ensure we can handle the proceeds.
